Batman Begins

First, in my defence, I had previously seen about half of it. More or less. Most likely less, but whatever. I can't remember what made me stop watching it, but it obviously didn't hold my attention for long enough to make me want to re-watch it in full. Of course this time around I viewed it with an open mind.

It wasn't bad. In fact it was pretty damn good. It's nothing I'm going to obsessively watch over and over again, I probably won't look up Fanfiction of it, and I wasn't overly captivated by it as a piece of cinema. However, bearing in mind that I'm generally not in a great mindset right now, it was probably a lot better than I thought it was, so of course I will watch it again soon, and I'll probably enjoy it a lot more then. That said, it's still fairly awesome. It held my attention, the plot line was good, and I liked the way the back-story was built into it.

Of course when Bruce's parents died, this played in my head and I had to pause the DVD to sing it:

And of course, Gary Oldman kept me interested, but to be perfectly honest it wasn't entirely my type of film. It was good, I did enjoy it, and you were right, it did make a lot of the HMB lines make sense a little more, but I still maintain that it wasn't my kind of film. Good for some, not for me.

I'm going to watch The Dark Knight tomorrow, if not tonight, and I'll be sure to post my thoughts on that, too. For the record, I still prefer the Musical. I appreciate the movie, I really do, but the musical is just more my style. Despite having pretty terrible songs, gags and pretty much everything else, it suits me perfectly.
